ABOUT THE BUILDINGS

The 5,500 square foot compound comprises five structures, each built in different phases, yet each piece was built in harmony with its predecessors, making for a gorgeous, cohesive architectural vision.

First is the Main House. Built in 1992

With sweeping views of the Alexander Valley, the Main House is grand yet down-to-earth. As you enter the large formal living room, you are met with high beamed ceilings and an open architecture that invites long lingering cocktail hours and extended dinners with family and friends. The family room has space for everyone with a large couch and chairs, all that are situated to enjoy a roaring fire in the fireplace or to watch TV. The kitchen is its own jewel: high beamed ceilings give way to skylights at the top that invite the sunshine in. The chef’s kitchen includes a Thermador stove and oven and a Sub Zero refrigerator. The Main House has two bedrooms: the master suite and a large second bedroom for guests The master has a view of Northern Alexander Valley from its private deck and a view of Woodhawk Vineyards’ Block 2 from the shower. The second bedroom has two queen beds and a large ensuite bathroom. This structure also includes the Game Room, where hours can be spent playing pool, watching movies on the brand-new 4K TV, playing board games or cards at the central table, or playing old-school video games on the table arcade game.

Second is the Guest House built in roughly 2002. Up a flight of outdoor stairs, you will see the two-story guest house, lap pool, spa and 14-person hot tub. The Guest House has one bedroom with two queen beds, and a separate sitting area with a pull-out couch. The Guest house has a small summer kitchen with coffee maker, sink and microwave for midnight snacks. The sauna is next to the kitchen. As you make your way up the spiral staircase to the second level of the Guest House, you can continue to climb the stairs into the Viewing Tower. From there, you can see Blocks 1, 2, the sport court, the barn, the Main House, and most of Alexander Valley.

Next is the Sport Court, originally built as a horse arena in 1996. At 13,000 square feet, you can play tennis and a game of volleyball simultaneously. There are professional-grade basketball hoops, a driving net, and a pickleball option for the tennis court. It has its own restroom in the attached multi-use cabana, which includes a wet bar with a mini fridge.

Finally the barn. Built in 1996, it was intended for use for a previous owners’ prize horses. However, this beautiful barn never housed a horse, as the owner sold the property before any horses could enjoy the barn.
